Responsibilities:
Create and implement interactive content
Optimize Javascript and CSS to enhance page performance
Assist with building JavaScript applications for our clients
Collaborate with our Product Managers on design ideas
Proactively provide suggestions on enhancements
Work directly Marketing team to implement AB tests
Maximize your ability to enhance your skills
PHP template design and development
Produce quality code (which is appreciated and recognized)
Qualifications:
Advanced HTML/CSS/DOM experience. Familiarity with Smarty a plus
Experience with JavaScript and JSON; familiarity with AJAX
Familiarity with PHP
Extensive browser experience to ensure consistent rendering across platforms
Experience running user tests and reporting/organizing/presenting data from tests
HTML5 and mobile web experience a plus
Linux/Unix expertise is essential
Experience with version control systems such as Subversion, Git
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaborative skills and flexibility in fulfilling multiple roles
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related; or equivalent work experience
Familiarity with (and excitement about!) StumbleUpon and the search/information and retrieval space in general
