About Us:Bleacher Report, one of the five largest online sports networks in the U.S., is seeking Front-End Editors to bring out the best of the site's most popular coverage. Sport-specific editors will work closely with writers and assignment editors to prepare content for publication. Top candidates will be critical thinkers with deep sports knowledge, a commitment to innovative media and an enthusiasm for helping writers improve.
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience copy-editing on deadline
Experience with online publishing tools
Strong sports knowledge and passion
Excellent communication skills while working within a fast-paced environment
Ability to quickly identify and execute strategies to improve content
Work Requirements:
Cordial, direct, confident communication skills
Some weekend and evening hours
Comfort with working remotely and communicating via phone, gchat and email
Understanding of essential copy-editing and online-storytelling principles
Job location is negotiable, including option of working remotely
Compensation:
One-year contract, with monthly stipend and opportunity for extension
Candidate will be considered for full-time employment opportunities at Bleacher Report.
