You will code and build front-end features and applications that have a clear user-interface, scale for millions of users, and have clean and easy to maintain code.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with our designers and development team to make Goodreads beautiful, easy to use, and fun.
Increase useability, drive user engagement, build new features
Code innovative and cutting edge web features and applications
Contribute to design and development of new cross platform features
Implement designs (html / css/ js / backbone.js / ruby on rails / jquery)
Keep up to date with latest javascript and css libraries, trends (jquery) and stay current with latest browser features (html5)
Requirements:
Expertise in Javascript / HTML / CSS
Proficiency with MVC frameworks
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails -or- Python, PHP or Java with desire to learn RoR
Experience developing front-end applications for a medium to large scale site
Mastery of cross browser compatibility
Knowledge of Web standards
Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
