Front End Software Engineer- San Francisco, CACome join the small team at Meetings.io (now part of Jive Software) to help us build amazing real time experiences on the web. Our flagship product Meetings.io has made a big impact on what simple video collaboration means and we're taking this to the next level and looking for bright and ambitious people to join our small but highly talented team to help us build the next evolution of Meetings.io and real time systems.
At Meetings.io we operate as a startup but have the backing and resources of a large company so our development cycle is extremely fast, and we've built tools to keep it that way. It's common to write code and have it pushed live in the same day. This comes as a pleasant surprise to engineers who have worked at other companies where code takes months or years to see the light of day. As our front end engineer, you will be able to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
Work with Product Designers to implement the next generation of Meetings.io real time products
Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Participate in design and code reviews
Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering
Requirements
Expert knowledge of JavaScript and expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS) inc HTML5/CSS3
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components
Aware of but not reliant on JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery, Backbone, Node.js etc.)
Experience developing rich applications with HTML5/CSS/JS
Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
3+ years of experience building web applications
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Front End Engineer
