Position:
Smarterer is seeking a Front End Web Developer who will be responsible for translating interaction and visual designs into beautiful UI. The right individual loves hacking on web code, learning new technology, and working with our team making a dent in the universe. Closures? Bahhh, child?s play. jQuery? You dream in selectors and chained methods. You bend HTML and CSS to your will. You love to build products.
An ideal fit is someone with passion for programming and appreciation for visual design. You?ll be a core member of the technology team and will be deeply involved in both the design and implementation of our product and technology.
Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in a front-end web developer role
Expertise in front end technologies like CSS, HTML, JavaScript
Experience building simple and engaging consumer web products
Bonus Points: Python, jQuery, CoffeeScript, Node, Backbone.js, HTML5, CSS3
Style:
Must be really, really, really good
Excited about pushing the boundaries on web UI
Motivated, driven, and capable of working independently
Comfortable working in an iterative design process that includes managing feedback from other team members
