If this sounds like you, then continue to read on!Telerik is looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join our web development team in Austin, TX. You would be working on a new, actively developed, customer facing web site, for which we need someone skilled in making web pages snappy, intuitive and a joy to use. This job will involve slicing up Photoshop PSDs put forth by the Designers, turning them into CSS and HTML templates, and further helping to integrate these html skeletons into the web page itself.
Telerik is looking for someone with very strong Javascript, CSS, and HTML skills, with knowledge of front-end web development concepts such as how to bind data from the web server to the page, as well as make jQuery calls to the server in order to retrieve additional data. We?re using Microsoft MVC3 and Razor for the view engine (syntax is similar to PHP), some knowledge of this technology is preferred.
If you were a part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week as a Front-End Web Developer:
? Sliced up already designed Photoshop PSDs into CSS and HTML templates
? Wrote and maintain javascript files for wiring up page functionality to the web server
? Assisted in integrating the HTML and CSS designs into the web pages using the Microsoft Razor syntax
? Worked to ensure Cross-browser support of the site HTML/CSS, including mobile devices
? Collaborated with UX specialists, QAs, Developers and Support
You will be the person who has:
? Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery)
? Advanced knowledge of CSS (CSS3) and creating cross-browser layouts
? Some experience developing web pages using with HTML5
? Basic experience with Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks in creating HTML prototypes
? Some understanding of Razor Markup, C#, and ASP MVC sites
? Good written English skills
? Strong communication and problem solving skills
? Ability to work without close supervision
? Exceptional ability to learn new skills
? Down-to-earth, creative, driven and friendly personality
? Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required
