Boingo has a huge reliance on excellent web content - our customers buy and use our products online! We need a superstar web engineer to develop and maintain the Boingo web presence supporting our sales, fulfillment and promotions efforts.
Our new web engineer will help reduce our time to market by implementing optimal designs that can be reused and customized across a myriad of channels. We're looking for someone who has mad code-writing skills and is passionate about getting the customer experience right.

Responsibilities:
Work with backend engineers and project stakeholders to develop and deploy captive portal environments for our Wi-Fi networks.
Support Marketing, Advertising & Product initiatives for content creation across multiple properties.
Convert Photoshop comps into clean, HTML/CSS markup and templates with a strong focus on clarity, maintainability, cross-browser/platform compatibility and performance.
Work with JavaScript and dynamic content for front-end designs.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures and support documentation for development projects.
Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards; research, recommend, and apply new Web technologies as they emerge.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
4+ years as a front-end web developer, producing professional websites and/or web applications.
Demonstrated expertise in creating cross-browser user interfaces using object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, DOM Scripting, CSS, JSON, and XML (plus using them together as AJAX).
Experience with JavaScript framework such as JQuery.
Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
Photoshop experience.
Mobile browser experience.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Experience with version control.
Self-motivated/organized, ability to thrive in a dynamic working environment without sacrificing quality.
Must be able to work on-site; this is not a virtual or remote position.

Nice to haves:
Knowledge of server scripting languages, such as C#, PHP.
SQL experience.
Familiarity with Windows servers, Linux and/or Unix operating systems.
Experience with Webtrends, Google Analytics, Omniture.
Experience with CMS application development/maintenance such as Wordpress, Joomla!.
Experience with bug tracking and code review tools such as Jira and Crucible.
