Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota for more than three decades, merged with Insight Imaging in 2012 to create one of the nation?s largest radiology providers for fixed site and mobile diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems. We currently have an attractive opportunity at our center in Bellevue, WA for a Front Office Associate.
Front Office Associate will provide services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients along with performing other duties as assigned. Act as a liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams, relaying messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information. Ensure the next day schedules are complete; including paperwork and orders. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the CDI Experience
?Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; register demographic and insurance information
?Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner
?Checks all exams for pre-certification with patient?s insurance company
?Knowledge of insurance carriers pre-authorization requirements and medical necessity criteria.
?Handles ?release of information? requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following CDI guidelines
?Supports technologists in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction. Act as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams. Must relay messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information
?Accurately maintains patient records within FusionRIS system
?Fields calls appropriately for center associates
?Field scheduling calls from patients and referring offices
?Arranges transportation and interpreter accommodations for patients when appropriate
?Maintains front office lobby area such as straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies, and general office clean up

?Ability to deliver high quality customer service to external and internal customers by communicating with knowledge and compassion
?Ability to resolve basic service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to next level
?Skill in organizing and prioritizing of work, and following assignments through to completion
?Skill in written and verbal communication
?Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
?Knowledge of basic level computer skills including Windows based platforms
?Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
?Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
?Minimum ? high school graduate
?Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
?Desire to work within a team environment
?1-2 years customer service experience
?Previous medical front office experience
?Ability to type 50 wpm
