FuelQuest, recently named a Hot 100 Software Company, has gone global, and we are seeking a Project Manager to join our Professional Services team. The successful candidate will manage implementations of FuelQuest, Inc., Motor Fuel Software Solutions. This Project Manager must be very well organized and able to manage multiple resources across five to ten projects simultaneously. The Project Manager is responsible for managing project timelines, resources, quality and risk; including, milestone planning and reporting, project budget tracking, budget analysis, project resource request, status reporting, change requests, and basic project administration activities. Project duties include guiding customers through the project life cycle, supporting the customer through roll-out and into post-implementation support. The desired candidate will have a strong project management background and work well in a team environment. Furthermore the successful candidate should have high core competence skills, such as communication, team focus, influence, service oriented, problem solving, analytic thinking, planning, personal development and decisiveness.
Primary responsibilities:
Collecting refining project operating requirements.
Define and implement recovery plans for projects within program framework.
Develop detailed project plans and schedules; reviewing project plans within program framework.
Provide direction and leadership to assigned projects or programs including sub-projects and on occasion, individual project members; including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts.
Develop and maintain a productive and positive, working relationship with project /program sponsors, and key clients.
Conduct project kickoff meetings, communicating individual roles and project/program expectations for both internal and external teams.
Participate in the development of best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress.
Conduct formal reviews with business sponsor(s) at project/program completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction; track client satisfaction levels.
Provide required project status reporting, assess variances from the project plan, collect metrics, develop and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives.
Monitor and audit project or program milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identifies ways to resolve schedule issues.

Working knowledge of Project Management Standards common in the project management school of thought.
Demonstrated ability to enlist support of cross functional teams within a large or matrix organization to obtain results.
Must be able to perform various project related tasks, such as: organizing meetings, maintaining project plans, budgets and status reports; provide feedback on standards and approaches to better the organization.
Proven expertise in using the following: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Experience in the use of multiple structured methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Iterative, RUP, or PMI methodology).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the use of SCRUM methodologies.
Previous legacy and SaaS implementation experience.
Knowledge of the motor fuel and/or motor fuel tax industry.
Demonstrated strength in problem definition and resolution.
Strong risks and business impact analysis and reporting skills.
Proven track record of driving the delivery of projects on time.
Client expectation centric without jeopardizing project scope or risks.
Strong software end-user change management strategy and execution.
Takes initiative, responsibility, and holds themselves accountable to results.
Facilitated team collaboration with offshore and onshore teams; resource management.
Self-starter who has the ability to work with little supervision; remote communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; constant status with customer and project visibility.
Minimum Qualifications, Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required, MBA a plus.
Directly managed multiple personality types.
Minimum of four years of project management experience with a professional services firm (e.g. PWC, Accenture, IBM, etc.) or software company (e.g. SAP) delivering software implementation services.
