Kabam is looking for a Full Stack Web Engineer to work on a very experienced development team whose task it is to build and improve the Kabam.com platform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Team:
You will be joining a team of very experienced Senior Engineerswho are all very open to discussing problems and helping each other over the difficult hurdles of coding for such large scale projects. Everyone gets to produce, test what's produced and ship what shows to be working and effective. When work is done, the team still enjoys spending time together, going to dinners and events.
Day to day:
What do you want a normal day to be like?
The team is largely self-directed so a "normal day" can be whatever each Engineer decides. There are daily standups but all other meeting are kept to a minimum. You'll be measured on your effectiveness, productivity and results. The team works hard to foster an environment where everyone is encouraged, and more importantly, allowed to improve.
Career Progression:
This role is flexible in level so it could be very junior or very senior depending on the experience of the candidate.
Junior candidates will find an environment that fosters learning and development, while still giving breath to work and contribute on a daily basis. With continued contribution and growth of knowledge set, a junior candidate would find themselves moving into more complex projects with the potential for more reward.

Education:
C.S. Degree or Equivalent
Years Experience:
Minimum 3+ years in Tech industry; Online Gaming industry preferred
MUST have stack and Experience:
Full-stack experience is preferred.
HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery, AJAX, server-side languages (PHP, Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, etc),
Ruby on Rails is our stack but direct experience isn't a requirement for someone with a strong history.
At least some knowledge of security and performance optimization across the stack.
Test-driven development experience (and the desire to work in such an environment) is a plus.
Efficiency with SQL skills: including experience querying large, complex data sets.
Efficiency in writing and executing detailed test cases.
