Job Description: Full Time Technical Writer - Contractor Position (no benefits)

Job Summary:
As a member of the Azuki Engineering team, a Technical Writer will combine proficient technical communication skills with an understanding of Azuki product line to produce end user documentation.

Job Requirements:

- Develops and codes topics that are used in Azuki products and relevant to the end user experience.
- Performs a task analysis as part of the planning process.
- Builds and manages documents according to the overall needs of the product.
- Ensures that documentation is available in a timely manner for internal reviews in keeping with the project's milestones. Works with engineering and operations to develop documentation that's consistent across the Azuki product line.
- Invests time and effort to increase expertise by attending feature reviews, engineering meetings and technical talks. Spends time with operations in order to understand customer experience in using Azuki's products and its current documentation.
- Edits white papers written by engineering members.
- Produces release notes for all software releases which detail new features introduced and open and resolved caveats.
- Manages documentation tracking system.


Education and Experience:

- A minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience is required. 4 to 6 years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science or Engineering is required.
- Technical experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates solid experience in Microsoft Word
- Demonstrates competence in developing information strategies that optimize the customer experience, such as topic-based writing and minimalistic writing. Demonstrates knowledge of company products in their business and current technical communication technologies.
- Has successfully completed at least one documentation project.
