Geartrain Design Engineer Achates Power

Successful candidate will be actively involved in all phases of the design process of the company's internal combustion engine including the design, structural and dynamic analysis of the engine's geartrain and presentation of final results. The work environment is fast paced with demanding deadlines requiring high quality work and a commitment to meeting specified project timelines. Day-to-day work requires close interaction with other team members. Innovative individuals with the ability to adapt quickly to produce accurate and timely results will thrive in this role.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with designing complex gear train systems in automotive or commercial vehicle applications
Proven track record of delivery new gear systems into production
Demonstrated working knowledge of ProEngineer CAD package, meshing software, and commercial FEA codes for 3D applications
High level of computer literacy
Proficient in gear design software (e.g., KissSoft)
Knowledge of common computer programming languages as needed to perform job function
