The General Accountant & Analyst position tracks Co-Op Advertising (CDF) and Marketing Trade expense by customer, department and event and assures the month end accrual is accurate. This position tracks packaging and new product launch expense and capitalizes values by department and project as appropriate. The position provides financial support to OPEX Budget managers, assisting them with understanding their spend vs. financial plan. The General Accountant & Analyst coordinates trial balance reviews, prepares bank reconciliations, and monitors and reconciles several other G/L accounts. This position will prepare journal entries for month end close, assist in preparing the report for the monthly operating expense review and compiles the month end financial book. This position will also prepares any ad hoc reporting as needed.

Financial support to Budget Managers, drill down spend analysis by department and account vs. financial plan
Co-Op Advertising (CDF) profitability analysis
Tracks Marketing Trade expense analysis by department and event
Tracks Co-Op Advertising (CDF) by customer and event and assures month end accrual is accurate
Tracks packaging and new product launch expense; capitalizes values by department and project
Prepares monthly bank reconciliations
Prepares journal entries during month-end close
Assist in report for monthly operating expense review
Prepares weekly gross sales / std. margin reports by business unit for 1st day flash
Compiles month end financial book
Coordinates trial balance reviews, monitors and reconciles several other G/L accounts
Prepares ad-hoc accounting analysis on an as-needed basis
BS degree in Accounting or Finance required; 2-4 years of relevant experience
Required Technical Competencies
Strong technical accounting skills
Experience with ERP and accounting software
Strong MS Office skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
