THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The GM is responsible for the day-to-day management and general operations of production activities in the LTC Paxit Pharmacy.
Build, lead and sustain a cohesive team capable of operating a fully functioning Paxit pharmacy operations.
Provides management oversight and leadership of the Order Entry department ensuring production and operational goals are met.
Provides management oversight and leadership to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) ensuring production and operational coordination between staff pharmacists and production staff.
Provide management oversight and leadership to the Paxit Operations Manager in all areas associated with the operations of the Paxit equipment and staff.
Work in conjunction with the technology team to ensure efficient operations to include testing/backup and recovery of Paxit pharmacy operations.
Ensures achievement of overall daily volume, quality and service goals.
Responsible for the hiring, development, and disciplinary functions associated with staff pharmacy management (Paxit Operations, PIC, Prepack, Inventory, Technicians, Order Entry, Medical Records and Delivery mangers).
Responsible with achieving department goals in volume, production, quality, customer service, Paxit operations, electronic and manual orders, monthly cycle exchanges and on-time completion of daily delivery runs.
Monitors staff performance for productivity, accuracy, and quality. Takes appropriate steps to maintain staff performance levels are at or above standards to include retraining or performance improvement programs.
Provides secondary review of performance and annual reviews for people reporting toLTCmanagers that report to direct reports
Identifies and implements opportunities to improve operations including, but not limited to, cost reduction, productivity improvement, increased capacity, improved quality, enhanced service and best practices workflows.
Identify, lead and participate in special projects to identify and implement LEAN operational improvements.
Coordinates with other departments to include but, not limited to Paxit Technology, Sales, Account Management, Consulting and Accounting to achieve daily production and services goals.
Support KPI activities/metrics. Analyze/report on accounting and financial drivers and lead the pharmacy management team on solutions that optimize financial results without negatively affecting customer satisfaction.
Complies and enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.
Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
Participates in special projects or training to identify and implement operational improvements.
Ability to work with others in a positive productive manner anticipates and responds to the positions areas of responsibilities.
Other duties as directed or assigned.
College degree in Pharmacy, Business or health care related field. Training or Certification in medical or pharmacy desireable, but not a requirement. Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook required, must have basic understanding of medical terminology with ability to interpret prescriptions and doctors orders, math and analytical skills.
Minimum of five years direct management in a day-to-day production operations focused in a healthcare environment, long term care pharmacy a or related automated manufacturing environment. Experience with budget development and management coupled with management of large staff required.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Must have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead, strong problem solving abilities, and a strong customer service focus.
This position must exhibit maturity in judgment and the ability to supervise a stand-alone Paxit pharmacy operations.
High frequency of contact with employees, customers, guests and vendors requiring effective interpersonal skills, exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
