Which is why we?re looking for entrepreneurial candidates to pioneer onefinestay in a number of major North American cities. As an ambitious general manager you will drive sales, marketing, and service delivery teams to build a significant unhotel. Successful candidates will spend a period of time in an operational role in either New York, London or Paris to get the inside track before launching a new North American market.
Once you?ve planted the flag, the GM role will involve significant team-building responsibilities and require competence spanning strategy and execution to grow the home portfolio, establish brand awareness, and promote new business development as part of overall P&L responsibility.
Driving top-line growth, which means hitting targets agreed with the board while consistently acquiring homes that match our high standards
Building and managing a team of sales, service, and operations managers and ensuring they remain motivated to deliver on bold growth and service objectives
Managing senior relationships among key partners and stakeholders including hosts and guests, local governing boards, area marketing partners, and relevant suppliers and vendors
Collaborating effectively with other city GMs and core central teams including new openings, marketing, new homes, guest sales, central operations, technology, and finance teams
Bachelor?s degree with strong performance from a top university, MBA preferred
Proven professional experience in sales, business development, strategy, marketing, or operations
Record of building or growing a business preferred
Startup experience a strong plus
Experience in a business undergoing rapid growth essential
Proven people management capabilities, with a bias towards high-service, people-oriented business models preferred
Formidable knowledge, fascination and love for a major North American city

An experienced leader of all types of people. You?ll know how to motivate a team in high-pressure situations and collaborate cross-functionally and across geographies
You can also lead from the front ? you?re comfortable being a solo pioneer when you hit the ground
Excellent written communication skills
Intellectual and commercial curiosity
You?re a doer as well as a thinker ? you take a practical, action orientated approach to simply getting stuff done
Geographical flexibility is essential
