Summary: The General Manager of Media will own the strategy, growth plan and day-to-day execution of the digital brand media business for Active Network which includes Active.com and Reserve America.com. The GM will drive the optimal media product offering (digital and experiential) and monetization strategy and will partner with the product team, the media strategy team and the sales team to maximize revenue. The GM will manage the Media P+L and will be a key member of the leadership team for the Consumer Products Business Unit.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Develop the optimal product portfolio to drive media revenue
o Package all digital and experimental assets from Active Network
o Partner with Product teams to develop new assets
o Work with sales teams to capture best revenue opportunities
- Drive the Go To Market strategy for all media products
o Manage the pricing, distribution and timing of all products
o Work with Media Strategy team to create the right marketing tools and sales training
o Coordinate with Product and Media Ops to ensure deliverability of all products
o Pitch and deliver to Sales Teams, Active GM's and key clients
- Manage the P+L
o Ensure that all revenue goals are exceeded and expense budgets are met
o Manage revenue recognition and executive reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
- Lead the Media team within Active's matrix organization
Requirements:
- Desire to lead and make a difference inside an organization
- High level and broad range of experience in media, must include digital and experiential
- Proven ability to successfully and consistently monetize media as a publisher
- Experience and ability to manage a P+L
