About the role:
As a Geodetic Satellite Calibration Engineer at Skybox Imaging, you will join the team responsible for ensuring that Skybox captures the highest quality imagery and data from our cutting-edge space-based imaging platforms.
You will help collect and maintain all the geometric calibration and orbital determination parameters of our satellite imaging systems. You will develop and operate analysis tools for consistent monitoring and improvement of our system?s geometric accuracy. Your work will involve a unique blend of research and data analysis, development of software tools, operational support, and cross-functional team coordination.
Skills and Experience:
M.S. or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Deep understanding of optical systems, photogrammetry, estimation theory, and algorithm development.
Proficiency in high-level scripting languages (Matlab & Python preferred)
Experience with satellite operations is desired.
