Global Account Manager - Operators/Service Companies RigNet
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
- Selling to and prospecting for new business accounts and managing existing accounts of globally-oriented offshore drilling contractors, energy operators and service companies.
- Additional responsibilities include administration of existing and new accounts, implementation, ongoing support and total customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with post-sales implementation coordinating the installation of new sites and ongoing support for offshore and land based activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Selling and prospecting for new business accounts, managing existing accounts of globally-oriented offshore drilling companies, energy operators and service companies.
- Responsible for writing service order agreements, price quotes and giving presentations to senior level decision makers
- Responsible for maintaining customer relationships as account manager.
- Use company lead management system regularly and effectively
- Assist with project management for offshore rigs, offshore production platforms, remote locations and land rigs.
- Must be on call and available 24x7 and maintain a working home office including high-speed data.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Will report directly to VP of Global Sales
- Work closely with operations, engineering, finance, contracts and global salesforce to ensure maximum sales penetration and customer satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum three to five years of oil field sales experience with an interest in commercial-grade satellite communications systems and Cisco networking equipment.
- Solid understanding of and ability to sell managed telecom solutions
- Minimum bachelors degree in related field or equivalent on the job experience.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and comfortable with making sales presentations to senior level/decision making personnel
- Good computer and IP networking skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player with strong planning, analytical and technical skills.
- Customer focused and an effective communicator.
- Available for domestic and international travel.
- Comply with all safety requirements implemented by employer, customers, facility owners or vendors involved in the employees daily task
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office; CRM
- Project management experience a plus.
