Freescale, Inc is seeking a global commodity manager to lead the execution of sourcing strategies for $80M portfolio of indirect spend, including, but not limited to contingent labor, recruiting, benefits, HR operations, training, relocation, outplacement, payroll, consulting, finance. Success will be measured based on spend addressed, value delivered, and overall service to stakeholders. Close interaction and coordination with the internal business partners and external suppliers is required. This position will be based at Freescale headquarters in Austin, TX.

Strategic sourcing for contingent labor, recruiting, benefits, HR operations, training, relocation, outplacement, payroll, consulting, finance
Manage $80M spend and deliver 8% savings year over year
Drive 85% of spend within 20% of the supply base
Contribute to organizational goal of $1.1B spend and $45M in savings across e-Commerce tools
Cross-functional collaboration with internal business partners and strategic suppliers
Forecasting and reporting status on key performance indicators
Bi-Weekly presentations at the Director and VP level
Develop innovative contracting approaches consistent with category strategy and objectives
Review and approve over 100 contracts annually
Drive strategic sourcing projects defined within the overall procurement strategy
Establish and maintain supplier relationships to optimize value, quality, and assurance of supply
Strengthen and expand the contingent labor program in the US and globally to address quality, cost, risk and compliance.
Evaluate contingent labor needs enterprise-wide beyond individual commodity
Explore new contingent labor models
Support specific pre-identified benefits and finance RFP
Enhance benefits sourcing internationally
Develop recruiting sourcing strategy
Coach regional commodity manager to support sub-commodities
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial skills with passion for negotiating, managing, and extracting value; the strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent; and the communication skills to effectively influence global teams and manage conflict in ways that build relationships and trust with internal business partners and suppliers.

Strong orientation to relationship building, collaboration, confidentiality, and integrity
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills, comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
Experienced with category management and multi-step strategic sourcing processes
Existing negotiation skills to manage terms, conditions, and other contracting requirements in managing corporate risk
Existing experience managing supplier performance through Service Level Agreement or Key Performance Indicators.
Demonstrated experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, and e-commerce
Ability to lead and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and assess priorities
Competent level financial, quantitative, and analytical skills
Change Management and Project Management skills are a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor?s degree required; Masters preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education
5+ years of experience preferred
3+ years of Indirect Procurement experience preferred
HR experience preferred (procurement or operations)
