Location: Belcamp, MD
Manages global data center operations including network and systems administration. Provides direction to regional data center operations personnel. Oversees the 24x7 support of Data Center networks, systems and databases. Coordinates and manages support from 3rd party hosting providers. Advises Data Center Operations personnel concerning administrative procedures, technical problems, and priorities. Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews; coaching of team members.
This position will provide management and support to the Data Center Operations team. The Data Center Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, budgeting, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of SafeNet?s external data center assets. The Data Center Operations Manager coordinates support with the both the Global Systems Administration Manager and the Network Operations Manager. This position provides support for SafeNet?s Authentications Services and HASP Managed Services.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience can be substituted for degree
8+ years experience in IT related disciplines including systems support, network support and data center operations
4+ years management and leadership experience.
2+ years experience IT Service Management
2+ years experience with Security Frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI and SSAE 16
?Experience with managing enterprise IT operations on a 24/7/365 basis.
?Experience in developing and managing to an IT budget
?Experience with web service operations and delivery
?Experience with multi-regional distributed systems and data center support to include migrations
?Experience managing vendor relationships (network providers, MSPs)
?Experience with the use, implementation, administration, and customization of monitoring and management frameworks, specifically for web services environments.
?Extensive experience in the use of automation tools and scripting languages to support deployments, monitoring and operations management a plus.
?Candidate should have experience working within a structured IT Service management processes such as Incident, change management and configuration management.
?Familiarity with network protocols for routing and access, as well as firewall/security experience.
?Industry knowledge and awareness on best practices, trends, and latest features of Internet, SaaS, Cloud delivered applications.
?Understanding of Enterprise software solutions and practices.
?Understanding of cryptographic systems, server and network security a plus.
?Subject Matter expertise with Microsoft Operating Systems Architectures and licensing.
?Expertise with Linux Operating Systems and support
?Knowledge of Microsoft System Center
?High level of decision-making, communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in the development process.
?High level of project leadership skills.
?Ability to quickly resolve complex systems problems
?Working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures
?Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
Additional desire skills:
Configuration and deployment of Linux based systems; MS SQL and SQL language; managing server backups.
Not required however consider a plus:
MCSE in Windows Server 2008/2012
MCSA in Windows Server 2008/2012
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited, to, the following:

?Reports to Director, Operations and Infrastructure and provides status on data center support activities and issues. Ensures compliance with all Infrastructure processes and procedures
?Reports on the progress and results regarding teams activities and goal attainment
?Develops metrics to measure data center operations team performance
? Develops and establishes departmental standards and procedures.
?Evaluates current and projected hardware and software systems.
?Enhances technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technology.
