The Global Demand Generation Director will be responsible for leading, planning and execution of strategic marketing campaigns and field marketing activities to support global demand generation, brand awareness, pipeline creation, and customer acquisition for Steelwedge Software (direct and channel sales). Additionally, this role is responsible for marketing operations, ensuring that people, process and tools are optimally set up, aligned and integrated in order to achieve superior performance and provide visibility and analytics on results to executive team and Board of Directors.
Lead overall Demand Generation planning efforts, including developing the overall strategy, producing new and nurtured lead generation goals and forecasts, setting the budget spend priorities, and measuring overall results against plans.
Manage portfolio of marketing programs for Inbound and Outbound Marketing, including integrated campaign management, database and email marketing, webinars, seminars, trade shows, persona based nurture programs, account based marketing, search engine optimization, paid search, online programs, corporate website, outbound call campaigns for inside sales team, pipeline acceleration for direct sales, and others.
Monitor and analyze performance against lead and other marketing goals and over past performance and continually make and implement recommendations for optimization and ongoing growth.
Communicate with marketing, senior leadership, and sales management on an ongoing basis regarding new and nurtured lead performance results, current initiatives, and course corrections being taken.
Identify new optimization tests and growth opportunities and areas for additional investment in time and money and decreased focus.
Lead overall integrated campaign strategy and plans, outlining key marketing themes, messages, and offers and channels for promotions throughout the year.
Ownership of corporate website and SEO
Owns marketing automation and integration with salesforce.com as well as marketing database
Manages global marketing calendar, budget management and reporting
Proactively meets with international field Sales Leadership and and Inside Sales representatives to ensure global alignment and synergies, ensures that campaigns support revenue objectives and that Sales and field Marketing is ready to run with campaigns when they are in market
Owns the success of scaling Steelwedge?s marketing efforts thru the channel by applying the partners perspective in the campaign and content design and by providing the field with the campaign tools and assets required to engage the channel in the various international markets
Hires and manages a world-class team of campaign marketing, field marketing , and marketing operations professionals reporting into this role (geographically dispersed)
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Minimum 10 years Leadership experience of B2B Marketing Programs / Demand Generation / Field Marketing/Operations teams with B2B software or a technology company, with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
Deep understanding of persona driven marketing and buyer journey for complex cloud-based software solutions
Has track record of owning global campaigns strategy and driving it with senior-level product and sales executives
Demonstrates understanding of regional cultural differences across the globe influencing creative and messaging and ability to trade-off with scalable content creation and campaign execution
Understands the type of content and offers that work best in modern outbound and inbound marketing campaigns and has in-market examples of this in action
Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM required
Experience with marketing automation (Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, etc)
High energy and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
Track record of successful team and people management, passion to challenge, support and lead a team to success
Strong analytical and quantitative skills?must have both an interest and skill in analyzing and making meaning out of data and translating that into actionable changes.
A mindset of optimization and testing. Must have track record and a strong approach to the job of constantly optimizing various programs, testing new ways of executing and new program vehicles, and making decisions based on objective data to keep refining programs and investments.
