We?re currently looking for a proven team manager to work in our lead generation department, driving sales pipeline growth. This position will align closely with the Marketing Demand Gen group and lead the Marketing Development Reps responsible for following up on demand gen campaigns, target new accounts, as well as responding to inbound leads and identify qualified opportunities.
The Market Development Rep Manager (Inside Sales Manager) will manage five to six Market Development Reps who are located in North America and EMEA. Individuals in this role should possess a depth of Enterprise Software and Best of Breed sales experience with successful experience managing a team of Market Development Reps (MDRs) or Business Development Reps (BDRs).
Primary Responsibilities include:
Meet or exceed all quota goals
Maintain team at full headcount by recruiting, hiring and developing reps so they are competent, professional, exceed quota
Align hiring strategy to revenue goals, ensuring the team is properly staffed with the appropriate number
Perform first line manager coaching including daily interaction with MDRs, listening in on calls and providing constructive feedback
Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with MDRs to review activity metrics, pipeline building and forecasts, review calls, review target account lists, and discuss training and development
Maintain comprehensive weekly reports using salesforce.com on team results, activities, lead flow, pipeline building, and forecasting
Act as a bridge and main contact for key members of the Demand Gen, Sales and Executive teams
Works with marketing to follow up on campaigns
Become a sales domain and subject matter expert on the SailPoint products
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Successfully managed a team of Market or Business Development reps, in a high tech (preferably software) environment for a minimum of 1-2 years. At a minimum, the candidate will have some supervisory or team lead experience.
Recruited, hired and trained brand new Market Development reps.
Successful as a software sales person for minimum of 3 ? 5 years themselves
Knowledge of metrics driven reporting on a weekly, quarterly and yearly basis
Expertise or experience with SFDC a plus
Experience with marketing automation system a plus
The ideal candidate will have the following personal skills and traits:
First and foremost, be an effective ?hands-on? manager continually participating in sales calls and providing feedback, coaching and training to improve the reps performance
Be a thought leader and subject matter expert (from a sales perspective) for the solutions their team represents
Highly accountable for the results of the team
Understands and helps promote the alignment between marketing and sales
A problem solver, able to work with others to quickly identify challenges and issues, and solve them. Maintain credibility in all directions.
Possess strong analytical skills; able to quickly assess key activity metrics, SFDC data, lead data, and turn this information into actionable initiatives for the sales team
Be creative in dealing with prospects in solving problems
Sustain enough energy and positive outlook for the entire team to succeed (lights on in the morning and lights out at night)
