ABOUT THE POSITION
ExactTarget, a leader in one-to-one messaging solutions, is looking for a Marketing Budget and Operations Manager to join the Marketing team. The Global Budget Manager will report to and the Director of Marketing Operations, and work closely with the Demand Generation Manager, global field marketing managers, and Marketing Analysts in order to seamlessly execute the Marketing plan. The person in this position will be responsible for cost/budgeting tracking, invoice review and management, budget and campaign report preparation, and Return on Marketing Investment optimization. The position will be a key driver for Marketing?s management financial reporting and analysis, managing quarterly forecasts, long-range business planning, and other value-added analytics. The Global Budget Manager must demonstrate a detailed knowledge of finance and accounting principles, strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
This position is based at ExactTarget headquarters in the historic Guaranty Building on downtown Indianapolis, Indiana?s bustling Monument Circle.)
?Global Budget Tracking & Management
oPrimary owner responsible for updating and maintaining marketing?s budget across the globe
oWill track and continually drive the department?s budgeting and planning in accordance with established standards and a rolling forecast
oPrepare all budget reporting, analysis, and assembles ROMI related data
oEnsure timely and accurate development and completion of variance analysis and forward-looking quarterly spend guidance.
oLead the marketing department in the procurement process for ExactTarget
oHelp with timely execution of critical marketing investments with prudent adherence to Accounts Payable deadlines
oCreate financial models and analysis to support strategic marketing initiatives and evaluate the best operational opportunities
oConduct cost-benefit analysis of marketing programs and time allocation for improved strategic decision making
oDevelop long-range financial projections for key business metrics
oWork with the finance department to evaluate if needed, adjust key rates built into financial models
oWork with finance by supplying various segmented investment reports

?Excellent analytical and modeling skills
?Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts
?Practical experience with financial planning and analysis roles

?Strong communication skills
?Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM system
Requirements-3+ years marketing experience related to demand and lead generation
-Bachelor?s degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing or related field
-MBA a strong plus
