The Global Renewals and Installed Base Specialist will be working closely with Infoblox Sales, Finance, and Technical Support teams and our channel partners and customers in EMEA and the Eastern US to complete timely processing of maintenance renewals and updates to Installed Base records. The role will be proactive in providing leadership and training for our EMEA channel partners and our Sales and Support teams in service program best practices for optimizing our Renewals business and processes needed to maintain the integrity of detailed customer entitlement records in our Oracle databases.
Based in Antwerp, this role will be responsible for Renewals for end-customers located in both EMEA and the Eastern US. This position is part of the Infoblox Finance team and will report to the Global Manager of Installed Base and Renewals, located in Santa Clara, CA. As needed, this role will also provide credit and collection assistance for EMEA accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely generation, validation, auditing, and management of all aspects of Infoblox maintenance renewals for end-customers located in EMEA and the Eastern US.
- Coordinate with external parties and sales team to ensure renewals are renewed in a timely manner.
- Perform installed base updates and changes, as required by the field and/or customer.
- Monitor progress of a renewal through the entire renewal process.
- Perform maintenance renewal research and generate follow-up quotes, as needed.
- Assist with order entry process when needed for specific renewals.
- Monitor and respond to internal and external customer requests as they relate to the renewal and installed base.
- Responsible for effectively communicating and positioning Infoblox service programs within the partner community and installed base. This individual is the services expert.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and resolving any issues related to large or complex renewals.
- Research and work with partners and customers to update customer records and install base as necessary.
- Assist with collection on customer open invoices, as requested.
- Support Global Renewals team with special projects and process improvement initiatives, as requested.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years installed base and/or service renewal experience, with an emphasis on a channel (preferably networking industry)
- Expert working knowledge of the service business, including co-termination, service terms, terms and conditions, etc.
- Experience working with both internal and external customers
- Experience working within the service industry in a multi-tier channel environment (distribution)
- Experience in communicating with/training channel partners on service program best practices
- Ability to work with and effectively communicate with senior level management
- Strong communication skills, to clearly and accurately convey complex service concepts to internal and client facing teams at all management levels
- Advanced Excel and strong Oracle background.
- Committed, detail oriented, effective communicator, self-starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to process business accurately yet efficiently under time sensitive situations
- Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must and collaborative problem resolution with Sales, Customer Support, Customers and Finance are key components of the job
- Independent thinker; quick learner; and technology friendly
- Working knowledge of hardware and software revenue recognition rules is a must
- Strong English language skills required, and fluency in other European languages highly desired
- Ability to work independently and effectively at location remote from supervisor
Communication Skills:
- Language Requirement: English, with fluency in one or more European languages desired
- Written: Must be able to develop FAQ's, policies, manual quotes based in Excel, as needed
- Verbal: Must be able to articulate key parts of Infoblox services strategy, concepts, practices and procedures to both internal and external audiences
- Interpersonal: Ability to assist and drive the execution of timely maintenance renewals within the partner community for the company
Contacts/Interactions:
- Internal: Sales and Finance teams, Technical Support staff, and Operations staff
- External: End-customers, Partners, Resellers, Distributors, and other third party entities
Work Location and Travel:
- Flexible Work Location. This role will be attached to our Antwerp branch sales office, located in Belguim. If needed, most of this work can be performed from a remote home office environment.
- Moderate Travel. Initial training will require travel to Infoblox corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, CA followed by visits once annually, thereafter. This role will require travel at least once a quarter to visit major channel partners and sales teams in Western Europe. Infoblox's EMEA team has branch sales offices in France, Belgium and Germany, along with independent sales personnel in other locations, including the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Sweden.
