NetMotion Wireless is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to own a broad set of responsibilities in a fast paced, dynamic, high-tech company based in Seattle. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the accounting teams ? both US and international, as well as, financial reporting, internal control, international accounting, intercompany, and transfer pricing. This position will also support the application of GAAP to complex business transactions. An active CPA license is required with a minimum of three years big four experience. International accounting experience required. This role reports to the Controller and will have frequent and integral interaction with the leadership of the Controller organization, the CFO, and the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end and annual close for worldwide operations, including general accounting, and accounts payable
Manage global consolidations, intercompany accounting, and elimination process, including transfer pricing
Prepare global monthly reporting packages, including cash flows and cumulative translation adjustment (CTA) and foreign currency gain/loss analyses
Serve as the key point of contact and direct liaison with international team for consolidated financial information
Review monthly financial statements, flux analyses and related supporting information for reporting to Controller and CFO
Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing accounting policies and processes in an international growth environment
Support M&A and integration activities; both technical accounting and operational processes.
Ensure compliance with all state and local regulatory agencies as well as international laws
Develop and mentor staff both locally and internationally
Research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues as needed
Design, implement and maintain appropriate controls for the consolidation and intercompany accounting process
Participate in ad hoc projects as needed
Bachelor?s degree in accounting with an active CPA - required
6 years minimum in a multi-company and currency company, including performing consolidations of foreign entities, and ASC830, Foreign Currency Accounting and ASC 805 Business Combination.
Big 4 experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including the application of GAAP to complex business transactions
Previous SOX experience highly valued
Process oriented, highly organized and able to manage time efficiently and project manage effectively
Experience working with external auditors
Experience with NetSuite and Great Plains is a plus
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to develop innovative solutions and process improvements based on technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of financial systems in a growth environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high growth environment
Ability to work with individuals from across cultures, languages, and geography
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
