Job Qualifications (basic job description):
Engineer to conduct research and analysis in all areas of Guidance, Navigation, Control and Autonomy. Specific areas of interest are bio-inspired control methods including vision-based guidance, echolocation, and sensors embedded in wings. Training/coursework in aerodynamics, flight dynamics and control system design and analysis important. Must be fluent in Matlab/Simulink, and have working knowledge of C++. Experience with flight simulation, embedded systems and microprocessor-based controls is a plus. Hands-on experience with r/c aircraft avionics will be an important part of turning theory and simulation into operational systems. Must be self-motivated with an ability to execute several self-contained tasks in parallel. Organized work ethic and effective communication skills are crucial.
Performing independent and team research & development involving analysis, modeling, simulation, and integration of control system components for enabling flight vehicle autonomy, control or autonomy emphasis. Industry experience in a fast-paced R&D environment is a plus.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience)
BS or MS - Aero/Astro or Electrical Engineering with guidance & control or autonomy emphasis. Industry experience in a fast-paced R&D environment is a plus. Must be a US Person (Green Card or US Citizen).
