Job Qualifications (basic job description):
Engineer to support software-intensive tasks for research and analysis in all areas of Guidance, Navigation, Control and Autonomy. To develop algorithms, system models, and simulations of GNC systems to satisfy top level system specifications and requirements. The qualifying candidate should be a software GURU, able to architect, design, and debug rapidly integrate complex systems. Specific areas of interest include robotics, flight control, image processing, estimation, and simulation. Training/coursework in flight dynamics and control desired. Must be fluent in Matlab/Simulink, and have strong C/C++ programming skills. Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) would be a strong plus.
Performing independent and team research & development involving analysis, modeling, simulation, and integration of control system components for enabling flight vehicle autonomy, control, and estimation. Work side-by-side with world-class researchers to create software and algorithms for cool and innovative controls-related products and tools.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience): BS or MS - Aero/Astro or Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences with robotics emphasis. Industry or post-graduate research experienc is a plus.
