Work alongside talented designers who are helping to shape meaningful experiences for the Airbnb community.The Graphic Design team at Airbnb is a small group of designers that stewards the visual brand and focuses on creating meaningful offline experiences for Airbnb's hosts, guests, and employees around the world. We work with nearly every other department at Airbnb, often helping to develop concrete, creative solutions to vague or ambiguous problems.
The intern position involves a wide range of responsibilities, and our intern?s primary duties are to help support the in-house designers at various stages of the process, from research to design and production. We are looking to add an intern who will help create external-facing print communication pieces, environmental graphics, presentations, and merchandise as well as a range of internal-focused culture and communication pieces.
Airbnb is a highly collaborative environment that requires good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an ability to multitask and take initiative. Aimed to give design students a rewarding experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting, the internship will challenge your existing skills and expose you to many facets of an international brand. This is an opportunity not just to build on your portfolio, but also to learn and explore a potential career at the cross section between design, travel, and business.
Tasks may include
-Concepting projects and active participation in critiques
-Design of offline communications pieces and online marketing ads
-Design of events materials and environmental graphics
-Design of information graphics and presentations
-Research inspiration, materials, merchandise and production methods
-Research creative talent
-Making corrections, refining rag, and touching up photos
-Scanning, organizing, cataloging, comping, photocopying, and other odds and ends
Open to current students.
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software
16-20 hours/week.
Must commit to a minimum of 3 months.
