Now, Redfin is seeking a great UI designer to help design a wide array of world-class experiences for top-secret features on our website. Senior or junior, bottom line is we need someone with a gorgeous portfolio, high standards, and a passion for design and delighting customers. If that?s you, we can adjust the scope of the job accordingly.As a Designer, here is what you?ll do:
You'll be designing all things website as part of our design team
Designing new features for our site under the existing brand guidelines, with an eye towards how the design will and should change in the future
Work with Product Managers and developers, assess requirements, rapidly prototype possible solutions, and deliver final art
Sit in on our usability studies and focus groups, and really get to know our users
Contribute to our growing design processes and timelines
To succeed, you need to be:
Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator, but adept with a marker and a whiteboard (Bonus: HTML/CSS)
Understand how to make something both beautiful and insanely functional
Hard-working, fun, creative, and organized
Degreed in visual design, human factor and interaction design (or comparable real-world experience)
Comfortable working alongside creative and non-creative types; communicating your vision and understanding limitations
Before you apply, make sure you?ve got:
A sophisticated design sense, balancing clean design and functionality
Top notch typography skills
Personality, personality, personality
Strong portfolio with an emphasis on web or mobile design skills
Logo/icon design experience (it?s a plus)
