Job Duties include:o Define Customer Environment Package including: Procedures, Builds and Migration Plans
o Application deployment strategy centered around new pod architecture
o Load Balancing Strategy and Implementation Plan
o Identification of Application Improvements
o Application Testing/Assistance with QC
o JVM SME
o Design and implement troubleshooting standards using Coradiant and other tools
o LDAP/SSO Authentication Standards for customer environments (Shibboleth, etc.)
o Design and implement centralized FTP standards and mechanisms for exchange of data/content
o Web Statistics Analytics and Reporting
o Point of contact for CDN configuration and deployments
o Automation of day to day tasks
o Tier III SME and escalation point
o Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
o Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
o Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
o Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
o Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
o Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
o Install and configure systems such as supports infrastructure applications
o Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
o Contribute to and maintain system standards
Required Qualifications:
o Minimum five years system administration experience
o 5+ years experience with several of the following: Linux, JAVA/J2EE environments, Web Applications (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, LDAP, SSO, DNS, SMTP, etc), load balancers, relational databases and information systems security principles
o Experience with Linux, Windows, F5, Akamai
o Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs
o Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
o Systems Administration/System Engineer certifications in Unix and (optionally) Microsoft are desired.
