Description:
Plateau is seeking a talented and qualified Project Manager to work in our Global Services division for our Federal and Public sector Team. This position requires as much as 50 travel.
This person will be responsible for managing full life cycle implementation projects (business requirements, needs analysis, solution design, development, QA, implementation and support) of the Plateau software. Additionally, this person will have overall responsibility for managing the client relationship, scope of work to be performed, resource assignments, and other client issues during the course of the implementation.
Job Duties include:
Project Managers lead the services implementation of the Plateau software for our customers. The specific job responsibilities for a Project Manager include the following.
o Manage multiple ongoing Customer deployments / implementations of Plateau Talent Management software.
o Lead the Plateau and Customer project teams to provide on-time and on-budget implementation delivery.
o Create and maintain reference-able customers.
o Coordinate joint deployment / implementation projects with the Customer's IT staff, business owners, and other Global Services departments; keeping all parties in sync with our implementation team.
o Oversee project execution, including but not limited to:
+ Conducting project kickoff meetings
+ Maintain the project budget to include approving project team time, weekly budget status updates, and forecasting upcoming resource needs in order to ensure budget compliance.
+ Create and maintain the implementation project schedule, resource plan, and issue and risk log
+ Facilitate regular meetings with the internal Plateau project team and the customer project team
+ Supervise the Business Analyst and participate in functional and technical requirements gathering workshops
+ Track and supervise the technical development efforts for customer deliverables
+ Support Customers through go live activities
+ Prepare formal project status reports on a regular basis for both the Customer and Plateau Management.
o The Project Manager is the primary liaison to the Customer's designated Project Manager.
o Lead regular risk mitigation planning meetings with the internal Plateau and Customer teams.
o The Project Manager provides oversight and is accountable for the quality of any Customer deliverable from Plateau.
o Maintain high level of knowledge of the Plateau Talent Management suite through training and project work.
Required Qualifications:
o Minimum of 5 years software implementation project experience and/or project management experience (Big 5 experience preferred).
o Minimum of 3 years Project Management Experience.
o Mandatory 3 years experience with Microsoft Project.
o Mandatory strong facilitation skills, working with groups of 10 or more people (requirements gathering, JAD, RAD, etc).
o Prior use of a formal Project Management Methodology and recognized Project Management tools.
o Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering and development.
o Expert analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to serve as an intermediary between technical developers and end users.
o Ability to deal with complex customer service issues, using diplomacy, professionalism, and tact.
o Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients.
o Ability to work with minimal direction.
o Ability to handle multiple priorities using time management skills.
o Knowledge of the full software development life cycle.
o Familiarity with relational database design.
o Expert knowledge of Project Management and consulting tools (such as Visio, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
o Bachelors Degree required and PMP preferred.
