The Services Sales Executive should be a self-starter and be able to work independently and in teams across functional areas. Experience implementing and selling professional services for large scale enterprise applications such as Talent, Learning, or Human Capital Management solutions is essential. This role serves to support the selling of Plateaus implementation, training, and managed services offerings related to the implementation of Plateaus Talent Management Suite (TMS) products.
Job Duties include:
- Work closely and coordinate implementation scoping efforts with Sales Account Executives, Product Consultants, Marketing, Services, and Product Management to develop tailored customer solutions and executable contracts
- Meet measurable goals and sales quotas set forth for lead generation, documenting the sales cycle and following up with appropriate internal team members and external customers
- Actively contribute to services sales revenue generation and work with North American Sales team to determine priorities, territories, and needs
- Work with the sales/account team to understand and clarify customer's business, functional, technical and ongoing support requirements
- Convert customer requirements into cost estimates and contracts for related services including the development of Statements of Work (SOW) which define delivery Plateau services to the customer
- Work with the account team to develop and deliver proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs and other customer inquiries
- Articulate the considerations for selecting and deploying solutions as SaaS vs. OnPremise based on customer needs and total cost of ownership
- Act as primary presales interface to the Professional Services organization by documenting implementation requirements and then transitioning the account from the sales process to the implementation team
- Team with Account Managers and Management to develop customer relationships, sales strategies/objectives, and build the value proposition of Plateau services
- Current Services Sales Key Focus Areas: RFP Responses, Use of the CRM for opportunity management, Process for Plateau Sales to Engage Services Support, Educate Plateau Sales Staff on Offerings, Creation and Delivery of Services Presentations to Prospects, Best Practice Discussions with Prospects, Creation of SOWs / Edits for Prospects, Facilitating and Supporting Contract Negotiations
- Convey industry best practices and proven methods for effective implementations within Plateau, customers, and industry groups
- Make presentations to and consult with customers and prospects
- Assist customers in defining key capabilities /requirements that will enable their TMS implementation strategy
- Participate in and facilitate customer meetings, interviews, and working sessions
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 - 5 years delivering consulting services around Talent Management solutions (Big 5 or other TMS vendor experience required)
- Experience implementing Plateau software or similar TMS packages
o Extensive background developing and delivering strategic solutions
- B.A./B.S. required, M.A./M.B.A preferred
- Candidates located in Washington, DC Metro area preferred
- Consulting experience coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated success and consistent results selling professional services for Talent Management solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience managing large-scale projects
- Experience working with customers in a consultative manner
- Willing to travel between 25-50
