The Job
Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms
- Development of 6DOF launch vehicle and spacecraft dynamics simulators using C++
- First principles derived analysis of launch vehicle and spacecraft systems
- Software verification via testing with flight-software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop
- Mission design and mission sequencing including fault management and contingency operations
- Sensor development, integration, analysis and test
- Launch and mission operations support
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Aero/Astro, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Launch Vehicles or Spacecraft Systems
- Expertise in the field of flexible body control, filtering, trajectory optimization, aerodynamics, rendezvous and proximity operations, atmospheric entry, propulsive landing, fault management, software development, inertial, optical, ranging and GPS sensor systems
- Capable of solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
- Strong work ethic and a self-starter
