About the job:
This role focuses on working with existing Engineering teams to evolve our High Availability Backend Data Services
An ideal candidate has strong conceptual and architectural capabilities, ability to work across multiple teams as well as prototype and build out next generation of services
Successful candidates will be strong developers with experience shipping high-profile user-facing products, working in large code bases, and engineering features for security, scalability and high availability
Own, operate, and maintain your team's services in production
Tackle some of the most challenging problems you can face developing high availability services in distributed environment that need to scale exponentially
Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment using Java and Python
You ship software fast and frequently
A Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years in industry as a developer working on mission-critical user-facing systems
You're comfortable with SQL databases and replication schemes to enable high availability (Master/Master) with failover
You're familiar with distributed datagrids like Hazelcast and Oracle Coherence
Experience writing production quality Java, REST based services
Expert level experience with traditional RDBMS databases
