THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are scouting for a Hardware Qualification Engineer Intern. As a Hardware Qualification Engineer Intern, you'll initially work in a small team reviewing and qualifying various computer components to be used for television graphics broadcasting systems. Working with engineers on developing our next generation graphics and tracking systems. You will have an opportunity to see your work used extensively throughout both College and Professional teams and broadcasters. Enthusiasm for solving interesting and complex problems is a MUST.
Entering or currently in your Junior or Senior year of college in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
Show proficiency in Computer engineering, Video Capture and display, Computer vision and Linux skills. Typically attended 2 -3 classes in these programming languages.
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, attention-to-detail, problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment.
Self-starter and motivated to create well engineered software components and systems.Must be willing to travel to sporting events on weekends (on occasion).
DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Some experience with Video tools.
Interest in real-time applications and/or knowledge of GPS.
MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Interest in and knowledge of sports.
PROJECTS YOU WILL WORK ON:
Help identify replacement/upgraded motherboard(s) and card configurations
Evaluate the new configurations
Create verification tools for stress testing and other diagnostics
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
The candidate chosen for this role will build and strengthen a broad array of skills, including: hands-on hardware, analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills, understanding sports broadcast video technology, increase knowledge of real-time data processing and interaction, learn efficient programming in established framework and time-constrained environment and the design of complex, dynamic software programs that are seen on National television.
