Head of North American Regional Sales Open-Silicon
Description: Open-Silicon is fast becoming the premier provider of comprehensive semiconductor product development solutions. Offerings provided include device architecture, FPGA prototyping, design, verification, and physical design through production supply of the complete and validated chips. The design services offered by Open-Silicon are highly technical in nature and focus on collaborative, project-level partnering with the end customer.
This is a senior-level sales management position within the Global Sales organization that will focus exclusively on building and growing regional sales in all major US geographies. In this position the candidate will provide management and leadership to the regional sales team and contribute directly to the identification, qualification, proposal, and closure of opportunities. This is a very rewarding position for someone who enjoys front-line sales, a fast-paced environment, and building long-term business relationships with customers.
Qualified candidates should have well established relationships in ASIC and COT accounts across the region with an emphasis on Silicon Valley. Candidates must be able to comprehend strategic business engagements, understand and convey technical and end-customer product needs, have deep account management and account relationship skills, and have the ability to close large deals. Additionally, qualified candidates must have strong management skills, work well in a self-directed environment, and be capable of defining, implementing, and leading regional and account-specific sales activities.
Develop sales quotas and targets for the regional team
Relentlessly drive to achieve and exceed sales targets for the region
Lead and Manage a team of experienced regional sale managers
Understand the customer's products and product roadmaps, culture, needs, expectations, internal processes, end-customers, and ecosystem partners.
Develop relationships from executive levels down to engineering and operations.
Establish peer-level contacts throughout Open-Silicon and the key accounts.
Comprehend the decision making processes and timelines, and identify influencers and decision makers.
Leverage existing, and create new relationships to seek out (and qualify) new business opportunities inside named key accounts.
Build accurate pipeline to manage priorities and provide forecast
Collaboratively lead sales and business development activities across the company organization to facilitate the sales process on account opportunities
Define account plans and execute them through effective planning of resources.
Develop and present proposals, manage negotiations and close the sales
At least 10 years of sales experience in the semiconductor, ASIC, and/or hardware systems industry with an emphasis on silicon/ASIC design and development.
At least 5 years of direct sales staff management and business development experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility ? Must have proven experience forecasting and achieving quarterly revenue goals
Experienced and knowledgeable of end-to-end chip development methods from architecture through physical design
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Self-directed, motivated, results-driven
Must be able to create and align shared visions within the regional sales team and across Open-Silicon
