HEAD OF POWER MARKETS SALES APX
The Head of Sales role will report to the Power Markets Business head with direct reports including an account management team and a prospecting desk. This role will be further supported by 5 product experts who act as subject matter experts in sales calls and client on-boarding.
This role will be responsible for the full client acquisition and management cycle.
Generate increased revenues and profits by creating and implementing a sales strategy through outreach activities including opportunity identification.
This role will manage the sales pipeline, communicate regular sales forecasts and meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
Additionally, this role should be highly capable of proposal development and submittal, and have experience playing a significant role during negotiation and establishment of contracts.
Develop ?go to market? strategies for new services and the penetration of new market segments.
This role will include travel to clients and represent the company at industry conferences.
Bachelor's Degree or higher. Liberal Arts, Communications, Business (Marketing or Finance)
This sales professional should have existing relationships with senior level decision makers with major corporations. Existing relationships with various segments of market participants; generation owners, retail load, utilities, investment banks within NYISO, ISONE, PJM, SPP & MISO territories would be a definitive plus.
Experience in selling a product, service, or solution that involves calling on business owners and/or C-level executives
Self-starter with desire to develop a top-tier professional sales culture
Excellent communication abilities which indicate mastery of product knowledge and command of the value proposition.
Has an understanding of the operating intricacies to operate in wholesale power markets.

APX has offices in San Jose, California and Hoboken, NJ. APX is flexible on the location of this position. Travel should be expected.
