The Head of Sales Operations is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. Reporting to the Senior Vice President Sales, the Head of Sales Operations fosters close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization?s efficient operation and success, and manages several Directors.
Responsibilities:
Lead a sales operations team responsible for growing a best-in-class, agile sales organization as the strategic driver for sales excellence supporting global sales management. Responsible for driving sales productivity through strategic planning, sales performance measurement, sales infrastructure & process, new merchant product development and integration, sales training & development, merchant acquisition, sales communications, and overall sales excellence.
? Act as sales liaison to North America/Canada, International, New Initiatives, and National sales teams, as well as well as other key departments such as Finance, Legal, Recruiting, and Operations, collaborating to develop and implement quarterly plans to drive overall sales performance
? Provide leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the Senior Vice President of Sales, in implementing sales organization objectives that appropriately reflect the company?s business goals. Accountable for the timely implementation of all sales organization objectives
? Partner with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitate successful implementation of new programs and products through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Foster an organization of continuous process improvement
? Design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes, as well as sales compensation programs. Establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in approaches used by the sales organization. Ensure planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within the company
? Prioritize investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Work closely with the Senior VP Sales and SVP of Technology to understand firm sales, new product, and technology strategy. Recommend changes and enhancements to the Salesforce.com, reporting tools, and other technology enhancements
? Working in partnership with the merchant product team, responsible for new merchant solutions development and implementation from a merchant and sales perspective including integrating sales feedback into the product development lifecycle, testing product & sales positioning, packaging, and deploying
? Responsible for the optimal deployment of sales personnel. Make recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity. Lead a change management process to build organizational understanding of proposed changes, establish support from key leadership stakeholders, and effectively implement new deployment and job models
? Work closely with senior sales leadership to define the performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success. Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities. Coordinate with sales leadership to ensure sales reporting is accurate and effective. Design sales compensation programs to align with business and sales organization objectives and oversee sales compensation plan administration working closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance

Requirements:
?Bachelor?s Degree, plus minimum of 10 years experience with proven results in creating and implementing a strategy to drive sales growth and development, as well as an understanding of the motivating factors in a sales environment.
? Minimum 5 years direct sales and sales management experience selling to small businesses.
? Minimum 5 years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role including new product development and rollout.
? Organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as experience in change management and project management experience, are crucial.
? Must have strong written communications skills, high motivation, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
? Goal-oriented, self-motivated, creative, flexible, and adaptable to new situations
? Think strategically in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing to meet deadlines
? Proficient in MS Office including Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
