THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Due to our phenomenal growth rate at US headquarters and US offsite locations, BTI Systems is seeking a talented, solutions-focused individual to join the Information Technology Team for a 12 month contract in the role of Helpdesk Administrator, responsible for providing day-to-day installation, configuration, support and troubleshooting of business systems, networks and/or infrastructure via email, phone, ticket assignment or in person.
Reporting to the Network Administrator, the successful candidate will:
Provide desktop support for Windows 7, Linux and MAC users
Procure hardware and software (Laptops, Desktops, Toner, etc.)
Configure systems for new employees
Perform regular health checks of desktop systems
Perform general desktop and network troubleshooting
Perform Active Directory tasks such as password resets, security groups
Maintain local meeting rooms and manage video conferencing systems and other supporting equipment (TVs, projectors)
Review and manage local facilities tickets raised in connection to plumbing, lighting, electrical power, housekeeping, air conditioning and heating and coordinate completion with landlord as applicable
Provide hands on support for IT team based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Perform other IT and Facilities tasks as identified
The successful candidate will possess post secondary education in I.T. field or equivalent coupled with 1-3 years relevant experience in Wireless Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Office applications (2010+), Mac OSX, Windows Desktop Operating Systems (XP and Windows 7), Windows Server Operating Systems (2008 R2), Linux (Redhat, Ubunte, CentOS) and Microsoft SharePoint.
