Helpdesk Analyst Redfin

As a Redfin Helpdesk Analyst, your job is quite simple: keep Redfin humming. You'll be given the freedom to practice your craft amongst some very sharp and motivated people. Your goal, if you choose to accept it, is to keep Redfin team members working through literal and figurative technical fires.
You'll be part of a team supporting all the hardware and software including laptops, email, mobile devices, and troubleshooting issues with VPN, Internet, viruses and more. You'll also be responsible for front-line support of Web-based tools built by Redfin Engineering and rolled out to the field. You'll feed IT's knowledge back into new products and training curriculum as well as create self-help content to support users at scale.
This position has the following responsibilities:
Provide first-line support to a diverse group of internal and remote team members.
Support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and telephony issues.
Imaging and deployment of workstations.
Perform asset control for hardware and software.
Analyze performance of Help Desk activities and document resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems.
The following qualifications are expected in order for the candidate to be highly successful:
Helpdesk support experience, preferably in a startup environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication skills via email and phone.
Customer service skills are a must.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a self directed team environment.
Maintain a high energy level and a strong sense of urgency.
Uses independent judgment.
Strong experience with Microsoft platforms: Windows, the latest versions of Outlook, Office and Internet Explorer, and other major applications.
Hardware experience with desktops and laptops. (Dell preferred)
Experience with Google Apps a plus.
