Job Description
Join Precyse as we lead the movement toward HIM Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HIM professional with an RHIA or RHIT credential to lead a team at one of the most renown University level Health Systems in the Country, consistently named in the top five hospitals in the nation.
The HIM Technician IV, will become one of the Super Users in the HIMS Department with the upcoming go live of Care Connect and moving forward would train all new hires. One of the functions of this position is to be a backup for the EMPI functions: merging MR#, overlays and duplicate MR?s.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of HIM professionals including EMPI, Special Procedure Coordinator, Cancer Registry (Precyse employee), eHIMS (Precyse employee) and EMPI Precyse PT).
Processing of amendments, addendums and accountings in a timely manner.
Approving IRB requests.
Open/Closed medical record reviews to include data entry into Plato Data Analyzer.
Must have the ability to work with details and make comparisons of medical record content according to hospital policy and accreditation regulations.
Assures medical record review summary and statistical data is recorded, distributed and communicated to appropriate personnel in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage Policy & Procedure Validation-Review and validate all policy and procedures ongoing.
Assist in conducting Inpatient retrospective medical record review as needed.
Requirements
At least 3-5 years of experience as an HIM Technician Team Lead or Supervisor.
RHIA or RHIT Credential.
Must have a thorough knowledge of chart analysis, medical terminology and be familiar with TJC requirements.
Experience with an Electronic Health Record.
Experience with Plato Data Analyzer software. (preferred)
Experience with the conversion to an Electronic Health Record. (preferred)
