Merrimack Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company discovering, developing and preparing to commercialize innovative medicines paired with companion diagnostics for the treatment of serious diseases, with an initial focus on cancer. Merrimack applies Network Biology, its proprietary systems biology-based approach to biomedical research, throughout the research and development process. Merrimack currently has five targeted therapeutic oncology candidates in clinical development.We are seeking a highly motivated individual to perform IHC and slide preparation in a dynamic start-up facility focused on identifying predictive biomarkers for clinical trials. Candidate must be willing to perform multiple tasks involved with laboratory operations and specimen tracking.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine IHC and ISH assays on clinical samples
Tissue grossing, embedding and slide preparation of tumor biopsies
Data entry related to specimen tracking
Ensure all QA/QC standards and compliance with GLP and GCP practices are met
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree and 5 years? experience in a histology lab.
Certified Histotech (ASCP) or eligible for certification
Ability to work and comply with GLP/GCP practices
Knowledge of immunohistochemistry strongly preferred
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to ensure tasks are completed on time
