HiveOS Systems Product Manager Aerohive Networks

Aerohive is hiring a product manager for the software that powers our access point and router platforms. The ideal candidate will take ownership of Aerohive software features and drive successful delivery and sales of those features. The candidate must have a strong background in Ethernet/IEEE 802 networking and Wi-Fi.

Job Description

As the HiveOS Systems PM an individual must own the entire lifecycle of HiveOS features and capabilities:

Establish and gain consensus around a product vision
Develop the business case for new products and features and propose them to senior management
Deliver detailed market requirements to engineering
Work with engineering to meet requirements and, when needed, trade off features, cost and timing
Participate in beta programs to verify that new software features work as specified
Work with corporate marketing to establish launch messaging, build launch plans and write collateral
Train and support the sales team and sales engineers in beta program and key opportunities

Responsibilities

Drive product strategy and roadmap by defining requirements for Aerohive?s HiveOS
Create product positioning and pricing (when necessary)
Drive real-world customer requirements into the QA process by assisting with the design and construction of test beds that are able to perform automated real-world tests.
Assist with marketing campaigns including but not limited to video, social media, Aerohive corporate blog, and forums.
Support strategic customer opportunities.
Become a subject matter expert in the owned features and products.

Experience and background

The ideal candidate will have:

Collected product feedback from customers, resellers, partners and analysts and distilled that feedback into engineering requirements
Driven the business case analysis for new products and features
A firm understanding of the enterprise IT market for network equipment
Demonstrated expertise in TCP/IP networking including routing and switching
Detail oriented nature
Experience in product management at a networking vendor and expertise with wireless networking are both a plus
