Purpose/Objective:
The primary focus of the Manager of Home Health is to provide oversight of the Home Health operations, while working with sales organization to introduce and sell Home Health services. This position ensures excellent customer service while establishing and meeting key performance and business metrics. This position will support corporate policies, programs and practice thorough communications and application. The Manager role requires a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, as well as strong interpersonal skills, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and initiative. .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, develop, and coach Specialty Healthcare Services Home Health Coordinators (paraprofessionals) and Clinical Care Coordinators (nurses)
Assist Specialty Healthcare Services Home Health and CAT Care Coordinators (paraprofessionals) and Clinical Care Coordinators (nurses) to identify and quickly resolve complex service issues
Develop and implement SOPs to maximize operational efficiency and increase productivity.
Develop quality metrics for operations, customer and patient satisfaction Leverage client feedback for process and product enhancements
Identify and coordinate solutions to yield opportunities for improvement in the current management of orders for Home Health services
Implement quality control programs and measures
Increase customer satisfaction and retention by evaluating and improving customer service levels
Manage to client expectations and service commitments
Ensure team cohesiveness and communicate departmental goals by organizing weekly operations meetings and frequent team evaluations
Assist with developing training program for new employees in the Specialty Healthcare Services Department.
Implement recruitment and retention program for Home Health team
Develop relationships with key customers and perform outreach on a monthly basis to ensure quality management of referrals
Provide support to team and internal business units as appropriate
Develop provider guidelines for Home Health and CAT care services
Identify key referrals that can be developed for Marketing case studies
Participate in sales presentations and new prospect meetings, as required
Assist the Executive Team in identifying, quantifying and presenting creative strategies for existing or new business growth potential.
Develop daily operational reports for Home Health and CAT case referrals
Develop and execute Nurse Mentoring program with collaborating colleges
Undertake all other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Team
Qualifications/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Current nursing license required.
Five to seven years (5-7) of management experience.
Telephonic nursing/case management experience
Experience in insurance industry, particularly in Workers? Compensation, highly preferred.
Excellent technical knowledge of insurance and managed care industries
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
