Role Overview:
The Home Services team are responsible for preparing onefinestay homes within a narrow window following the departure of the host and prior to the arrival of a guest. Bed linen, towels and toiletries need to be delivered. All utilities including wifi need to be working. The home must be spotlessly clean and professionally staged. After the guest leaves our team must ensure the home is returned to as good a state or better as when the host left it. The challenge for the team is further increased when you consider our homes are spread throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The Home Services Manager will recruit, lead and motivate what will rapidly become the largest team within the New York. They will be responsible for the people, processes and systems that allow the function to deliver to a high quality day in day out all whilst scaling rapidly. Successful execution in Home Services is key to the business? success; as such the successful candidate will be a key member of the management team here in NYC.
Role activities and responsibilities:
Leadership: By year end the successful candidate will be heading a 20 person strong team, likely scaling to 60 by the end of 2013. Having the confidence, drive and energy to find this exciting rather than daunting is important.
Team build: Effectively scale the team by hiring and training dozens of full-time, part-time and agency staff over the first six months in the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing standards, establishing training programs and shaping the culture, all with the goal of achieving excellence and operational flexibility.
Process and systems design: You?ll work closely with our Operations Director in New York and our Central Operations team in London to design processes and systems that will support the function and ensure consistently high service delivery during a period of rapid growth.
Quality assurance: Responsibility for the satisfaction of both our guests and hosts with regards to all matters relating to the Home Services team?s standards.
Issue Management: We are a service delivery business and sometimes tricky situations with both hosts and guests will arise, when they do the Home Services Head will need to be on-hand to ensure the team resolve them effectively.
Supply & logistics: Work closely with our logistics/warehousing exec to ensure the right products and people are delivered to the right home at the right time.
Experience and skills:
Proven leadership experience or very high leadership potential.
No less than 4 years of experience in relevant operational and line-management roles within a fast moving/growing people business (food service, retail, hospitality, or other similar high intensity operational businesses)
Have recruited for and managed relatively large teams, 10 heads +.
Experience designing and implementing new processes in previous roles and can demonstrate an ability to tackle complex problems.
Good knowledge of NYC.
Degree educated to a good level.

Highly organised and efficient operator. Structured in approach but ability to roll with the punches when things don?t go right.
