Identify international homologation requirements for new vehicle programs; Define new vehicle product requirements to assure successful approval in target markets that will include the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and other regions / countries; Participate in design reviews and design release approvals to assure program design is on track to meet international requirements defined; Develop test programs required to achieve type approval for new vehicles and vehicle variants for each market; Work with Tesla Engineers to create required documentation for testing and compliance; Work with internal Tesla personnel, third party labs, consultants and regulatory bodies to drive type approval on planned schedule; Manage third party agents in various countries as needed to work with regulatory bodies on behalf of Tesla Motors.
Job Requirements: Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in automotive homologation or related field.
Will accept alternative requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in automotive homologation or related field.
Special Requirements: Requires experience in: 1. International automotive regulatory requirements; 2. CATIA V5; 3. HVAC; and, 4. Process and Design planning.
