Summary

The Driver position will execute the distribution of our meals, snacks and breakfast to local schools. They will fulfill all orders assigned and will accurately count items on their truck. They will maintain a high level of uniform standards and personal hygiene. The Driver will maintain their vehicles by maintaining proper levels of fuel and executing daily truck checks. The driver will maintain the cleanliness of their vehicle and the proper sanitation of all transport equipment. They will inspect fruits and snacks for quality and bring issues to the attention of the Operations manager.

The Driver is expected to be an active participant in all aspects of the kitchen, from food preparation to cleanup. The position also carries the responsibility of supporting the administrative processes of Revolution Foods HACCP program. They will maintain the drivers temperature log at all times.

The driver position plays a critical role in the customer service process for Revolution Foods. They will conduct and present themselves in a respectful and polite manner at all times. They will have daily contact with our end users and will provide support as needed. They are expected to maintain a positive relationship with our customers in the field. They are encouraged to be problem solvers and promote Revolution Foods Core values and mission.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Establishes a culture of respect, hard work, consistency and effective communication in the kitchen.
2. Ensures accurate and timely deliveries to all schools.
3. Completes all duties assigned in a timely manner.
4. Maintains organization and cleanliness of all equipment used for distribution.
5. Delivers milk and maintains safe temperatures while distributing
6. Manages the packing slips and customers signature of receipt.
7. Maintains cleanliness of trucks at all times.
8. Communicates effectively with co-workers
9. Supports the company “Green†waste, compost and recycling program.
10. Effectively communicates and practices all company policies.
11. Maintain a clean driving record.
12. Maintains master cleaning schedule responsibilities at all times.
13. Supports preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment.
14. Assists kitchen with preparation and pack-out tasks as needed.
15. Complies with all state Health and Safety codes.
16. Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

1. 1-2 years driving experience in a foodservice environment. Previous experience in a school feeding operation a plus.
2. Able to lift 50 pounds and physically perform requirements of job.
3. Advanced knowledge of Houston, Texas safe driving practices.
4. Strong organizational skills.
5. Proven customer service skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Able to work well with others and participate as part of a team.
7. Committed to the Revolution Foods mission that all children will have access to nutritious, tasty food to support the development of healthy minds and bodies.
8. Food safety experience a plus.
