HOW Data Scientist LRN-The Legal Knowledge Company
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Job Description:
Since 1994, LRN has helped 15 million people in 700 companies worldwide simultaneously navigate complex legal and regulatory environments and foster ethical cultures. LRN's combination of practical tools, education and strategic advice helps companies translate their values into concrete corporate practices and leadership behaviors that create sustainable competitive advantage. In partnership with LRN, companies need not choose between living principles and maximizing profits, or between enhancing reputation and growing revenue: both are a product of principled performance.
LRN is the trusted partner to leading businesses worldwide, including Allstate, Dow, eBay, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Pfizer and Viacom. LRN operates in more than 120 countries, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, London and Mumbai.
As the preeminent leader in the values-based governance market, LRN has been working with clients around the world to Inspire Principled Performance. We do so by closely and deeply partnering with Executives, Leaders and Influencers to diagnose the current ethical and behavioral health of an organization using our Governance, Culture and Leadership Assessment and HOW Metrics, and embarking on journeys to help organizations develop tailored and custom solutions, from the bottom-up, in order to seed experiments that dramatically shift the ways companies and colleagues behave. We are committed to the idea that by doing the right thing, companies can generate disproportionate long-term value for all their stakeholders. Our HOW metrics, based on over two million observations around the world and statistically proven, validate the fact that self-governing companies generate better economic, social, and stakeholder performance. In the 21st century, a sole focus on what an organization does is no longer a sufficient condition for competitive advantage. HOW organizations behave, or outbehave, is the source of new competitive advantage. Culture, Governance and Leadership, rooted in purpose, values and behaviors should be part of any corporate strategic priority moving forward.
Today, we are rapidly growing our business to continue to aid our partners. We are seeking a creative, competent and insightful data scientist to come join our mission. This individual should deeply resonate with the HOW philosophy and be committed to the mission of transforming businesses and organizations based on the notion of outbehaving. She or he should have strong passion for empirical research, both posing and answering hard questions from and with data, and interpreting messy real world data sets. The individual should be comfortable working directly with decision makers to develop actionable, data-driven answers to challenging problems, working across cultures and with global partners, and have the maturity to function as a leader in our flat, self-governing organizational structure.
?3-6 years of experience with quantitative analysis, including building and managing large databases
?Advance experience in univariate and multivariate techniques, specifically: factor analysis, linear and curvilinear regression, LOGIT, hierarchical segmentation analysis, structural Equation Modeling (SEM), ANOVA
?Detailed working knowledge / experience with SPSS and SAS, and advanced experience with Excel
?Ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
?A balance between creativity, lateral thinking, and strong analytical rigor
?Driven to achieve excellence, in a self-governing environment that?s rooted in personal integrity, transparency and seizing accountability
?Wide range of personal interests and activities
?Interest in the social sciences, business and economics
?Creative and eager for intellectual stimulation
At LRN, we believe enduring success is achieved through inspired, ethical leadership ? regardless of tenure, job function or position in an organizational chart. Over time, ethical leadership shapes a culture that governs itself according to shared corporate values. The LRN Leadership Framework defines, galvanizes and unifies our culture, inspiring and informing our conduct whether we're collaborating with colleagues or partnering with clients. Active engagement with the LRN Leadership Framework deepens our understanding of the significance of the LRN mission and furthers our ability to help companies engage their people in shared responsibility for shaping a culture that inspires principled performance.
Our mantra is: "Say what you mean, mean what you say, and always follow through." It is an article of faith with us that all of our relationships, both internal and external, should be governed by integrity and truthfulness. We expect people at every level of this company, at all times, to demonstrate these values in their speech and actions.
