This is a sales/business development role reporting to the Vice President of HPC Sales.
The Sales Solutions Engineer (SSE) for Cloud will be responsible for Sales activities involving Penguin Computing?s HPC Cloud Service - Penguin on Demand (POD) as well as the software stack that it is built on.
The SSE will need to have the technical acumen to sell and demonstrate Penguin's Cloud software and services, as well as the sales communication skills to be a trusted advisor to customers.
Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Technology
5 years minimum software and service sales experience
Must have experience with HPC Applications in one or more of the following areas - CFD, FEA, CAE, Life Sciences, Computational Finance, or Weather Modeling.
Must have experience with HPC environments (Infiniband, MPI, Clusters, Schedulers)
Experience planning and growing revenue for early stage software and service sales
Experience negotiating & creating partner and channel agreements
Must have excellent communications skills, including the ability to perform technical demonstrations of software, create presentations, sell technology effectively, and speak in front of large groups at seminars or trade shows.
Must have the ability to travel to trade shows and customer sites.
Cloud sales experience a plus.
Experience with Big Data (Hadoop) or OpenStack is a plus.
