The HR/Accounting Manager will be responsible for the processing of personnel payroll, record-keeping, and benefits. They will also oversee the day-to-day accounts payable/receivable, cost reporting, and office management tasks. Bookkeeper/Office Manager will report to the HR/Accounting Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
Human Resources
Manage payroll, employee benefits election and administration
Manage stock option administration and grant execution
Ensure Department of Labor compliance; interpret and apply labor and employment laws, rules and regulations
Act as point of contact for legal counsel for labor, immigration, stock; conduct related administrative work
Oversee organizational insurance policies, including coverage changes and renewals; act as point of contact on all insurances matters
Assist in recruiting process: job description creation/posting, handle inbound recruiting tasks, overseeing coordination tasks
Oversee new employee on-boarding, orientation, and termination
Accounting
Oversee processing of accounts payable and receivable
Prepare accounting reports related to payroll
Office Management
Oversee maintenance of office environment
Oversee ordering and organizing of general office supplies
Complete and maintain contracts with related outside vendors
Qualifications
5+ years of HR experience, including high tech start-ups
Intermediate experience with QuickBooks, MS Excel
Experience processing payroll and working with payroll processing systems, PayChex
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge and enforcement of employee rights, benefits, and obligations
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
Excels at operating in a high-tech, fast pace environment
Highly organized; able to maintain accurate and consistent document/record processing and keeping
Experience managing direct reports
Proficient in cloud based services Google Drive, Gmail, Box.net, etc.
A Plus
Bachelors Degree strongly desired
Experience recruiting or managing recruiting efforts in for an engineering focused high-tech start-up

The HR Generalist reports directly to the acting Head of Business Operations, but interacts with the CEO, CTO and CFO of the company on a daily basis. The Facilities Coordinator would report dotted-line to the HR Generalist.
